കൊഴുക്കട്ട




Ingredients:


Rice                                        : 1 cup
Coconut                                  : 1/2 cup ( cut into small pieces)
Mustard seeds                        :  1/2 tsp
Urad dal                                 : 1/2 tsp
Red chillies                             : 2 cut into 2
Curry leaves                           : 1 sprig
Salt  to taste
Oil                                         : 1tbsp



Method:


Soak rice for 30 mins and grind into a coarse paste.  Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds, when it splutters add red chillies, urad dal and curry leaves fry it till urad dal changes its colour.



 Then mix the rice paste with 1 cup of water and add this to the kadai , add salt and stir it in medium flame till the water absorbs like upma.





 Now add the coconut and mix well. When it is warm  make round balls. Heat a steamer or idli cooker and steam it for 5 mins. Have it with coconut chutney or idli chilli powder.
