Coconut chutney

Coconut : ½
Green chillies : 3
Ginger : 1/4” pc
Oil : 1 tsp
Oil : 1 tsp
Mustard seeds
: ¼ tsp
Red chilli : 1 break into 2
Curry leaves : 1 sprig
Salt to taste
Method:
Grate the coconut . Grind coconut gratings, green chilli,
roasted dal(pottukadala), ginger and salt together adding a little water to a smooth
paste. Add water checking the consistency. It should not be too watery.
Heat oil in a kadai, add the mustard seeds. When it pops up
add the red chilli and curry leaves. Pour
this to the chutney.
Variation: You can add 1 medium tomato while grinding
the coconut., following all the same process. It will give a different taste.
